When Rani called Shahid ‘SIR’

Rani Mukherjee who is currently shooting with Shahid Kapoor for Yash Raj’s next flick had to take back her words when it finally got on Shahid’s nerves.

A source says, “It’s a known fact that Rani is older to Shahid by a few years.Rani was hell bent on not letting their age difference be visible not only on screen but off the screen as well.”
So Rani started addressing him as, ‘Shahid Sir’ every now and then. Initially Shahid found it amusing. Shahid however, could not hide his embarrassment as she would say that in front of the entire Yash Raj unit which is like a ‘home ground’ for her. But after a point it started grating on his nerves when every single person in the unit started aping Rani and addressing him as ‘Shahid Sir’. Last week when Rani’s Man Friday went up to him to give Rani’s message to join him for lunch during the shooting lunch break and ended up using the ‘Shahid Sir’ term as usual. An irritated Shahid shouted back at him for using it and the poor chap literally ran back to Rani. Shahid didn’t join Rani for lunch but the matter seemed to be over by the evening after Rani went and spoke to him after the shoot for the day got over.”



“Now they both are calling each other by their first names.” adds the source.
I wonder why Shahid didn’t call Rani- Rani Aunty, that would have done full justice to Rani’s age.

Amrita Rao proud of her hit jodi with Shahid Kapoor

Amrita Rao’s many movies have definitely been a dud at the box office, except those where she starred opposite cutie Shahid Kapoor, and that has made a hit onscreen jodi with Shahid and post Vivaah they are definitely the next SRK-Kajol jodi of Bollywood I presume.

When asked Amrita, how she feels about her super hit jodi with Shahid she says, “Well, that’s the best part about it because Shahid and myself also enjoy working with each other. To top it all, its very complimenting when people walk up and say ‘Shahid- Amrita Super Hit jodi’ because in this generation perhaps we are the only pair who have this ‘Super Hit jodi’ tag line.”
We have grown up watching SRK- Kajol, Aamir- Juhi, Anil- Maduri and Govinda- Karisma. It is very encouraging for both of us because when your audience actually wants to see you on-screen together then I think half of your battle is won, and its definitely an advantage.”
Well Amrita we would like to see more of you with Shahid.
